Nice SpA: Curing and Permanent Protection for Industrial Floors

Treviso, 2002 - stopping dusting before it starts

Concrete in a production environment degrades faster than almost anywhere else. Oils and process contaminants attack it chemically; forklifts and pallet trucks abrade it mechanically; and the end result is dusting - a surface that sheds fine cement particles, harmful to people and to machinery alike.

Nice SpA, a market leader in industrial doors and gate automation, took the far-sighted route at its Treviso production site: cure and protect the floors permanently from the start with Evercrete Pavishield. Treated at pour stage, the slabs cured properly, hardened at the surface and never developed the dusting problem the company was determined to avoid.

What this means for UK projects

Dusting floors are one of the most common complaints we hear from UK factory and warehouse managers. It is far cheaper to prevent at pour stage than to fix later. See Evercrete Pavishield.
